Brandon Corsair The only thing wrong with this album is that it's not Melissa. Mercyful Fate had a fucking amazing run, and DBTO is one of the best albums in the history of the genre- killer and theatrical vocals, amazing songwriting, and one of the strongest lineups ever operating on all cylinders. A perfect album by a band that inspired untold masses of future heavy metal warriors. Favorite track: Come to the Sabbath.

It is impossible to pick a chapter of a concept album as a standalone favorite but KD makes it possible; some will say that “Them” is a better album if only for the song “Welcome Home” being referenced in the movie Clerks 2 and while I do like “Them” probably in its entirety “Abigail” is no doubt a full on masterpiece that receives very little praise.
